Born on November 6, 1938, in Memphis, Larry was a devoted parent, grandparent, sibling, friend to many, and a valued member of the Independent Presbyterian Church. He touched countless lives with his kindness, compassion, and charismatic sense of humor.
Larry graduated from Treadwell High School in 1957 before enlisting and serving in the U.S. Army. After his service, he earned his degree from Memphis State and went on to build a long and successful career in the medical sales industry.
An avid lover of the outdoors, Larry found joy boating with his family, playing golf with his buddies, and relaxing in the North Carolina mountains on cool summer days with friends and loved ones. Heck, he even loved getting the riding mower out to mow the grass or clean up the leaves.
Larry is survived by his children, Chris Jordan, Lenny Jordan, and Michele Lomnitz; his six grandchildren; his sister, Jo Anne Dennis; and his beloved companion, Glenna Flautt. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Lloyd “Jack” and Edna “Inez” Jordan; his son, Eric Jordan; and his brother-in-law, Charles Dennis.
A service to celebrate Larry’s life will be held on Tuesday, December 9th, at 3:00 PM at Independent Presbyterian Church Chapel, 4738 Walnut Grove Rd. Family and friends are invited to gather and share their memories.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Independent Presbyterian Church in Larry’s honor.
Larry’s legacy of love, laughter, and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
May he rest in peace.
