LT Kennedy, to my family he was known as Mr. Bob, and I served together in several locations during our US Navy careers. I first met Bob when we were stationed at the United States Naval Station in the Republic of the Philippines . We became very close shipmates during this time as we traveled into Vietnam to perform our military functions. Locally my children and family adopted him as we engaged in numerous social and routine functions. Local custom celebrations were attended and enjoyed by all of us.  Bob and I enjoyed flying around the Islands viewing  the areas affected by World War II. After this tour of duty Bob was instrumental in my assignment to NATTC Memphis in a training capacity, again reflecting our mutual respect as fellow NAVAL OFFICERS.  In summary, I place Bob at the very top of my list of all the Navy personnel I ever came in contact with in the Navy. He was a true gentleman, always a joy to be around, always injecting fun and laughter, and most of all he made everyone feel that he truly cared for them. Smooth sailing my friend!
