Robin Annette Walton of Memphis: Robin left to be with the Lord from her home on April 16th with her loving family surrounding her. Robin was born in Memphis to wonderful parents, Bessie and Raymond Ammons. She graduated from Craigmont High School and later met the love of her life, John Walton at Greenlaw Baptist Church. John and Robin raised three creative children, John Benjamin, Hannah, and Sarah. Robin was a member of Greenlaw Baptist Church for over 25 years and was the Church’s pianist and enthusiastically taught the Women’s Bible Study group. Robin had a tremendous love for Jesus and it showed through her witness to God and by the fact that she never met a stranger. She was a dedicated employee of Gateway Christian School. Robin was a creative cook and was famously known for her fudge. As an avid reader, Robin was also a writer of children’s books and demonstrated a talent for acting in a production of Camelot. Robin leaves behind family, parents and her siblings and their spouses, Ronald and Billie Ammons, Rebecca and Ed Andrews and Brenda Ammons; in laws, Bobbie Walton, Estes and Mary Hammons; Mark and Lynda Walton. She had 17 nieces and nephews and her loving dog that sat by her side, Margaret “Maggie” Thatcher. She will live in the hearts of John, John B, Hannah, and Sarah forever. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until service time at 3:00 pm, Friday, April 18, 2014 at Memphis Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Road, Bartlett, TN 38133
