Ronald "Rocky" Traller

Ronald "Rocky" Traller, age 70, of Memphis, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday, October 20, 2021. Rocky was born December 20, 1950 in Memphis, TN. He was a graduate of Kingsbury High School class of 1968. After graduation he joined the United States Army where he served 3 years during the Vietnam era. Rocky then started his career with the VA Hospital where he served as a computer specialist for 42 years. He enjoyed science fiction, watching westerns, coaching baseball and most of all spending time with his family.

Mr. Traller was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Kevin Traller, and his brother Keith Traller. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Janice Traller, his son, Mark Traller (Karla), and twelve grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 1pm until service time at 2pm, on Saturday October 30, 2021, at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Parkway Bartlett, TN 38133.

Any memorial contribution's may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.

He was the best husband, father, and grandfather anyone could have asked for and his family will truly miss him.

Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at for the Traller family.

I’m going to miss you grandpa!!! I remember you giving my 5 month old son sweet tea 😒 from the day I brought Kevin home he had you wrapped around his finger anything he wanted he got, even candy past bed time lol I remember you humming but you didn’t know what song. I remember all the copies of burlesque movies u made me u tried to charge me 2 dollars for. I have a lot of great memories with you and grandma and I’m forever grateful. I love you grandpa! I’ll continue to call all the grandkids squirt for you (forever)

Memories of Rocky flood my thoughts. So many years together at the VA. When we got together, we talked and laughed about so many things. For a few years, we were stuck together In a small IRM office with our backs to each other, Rocky, Ron and me. We laughed, we fussed, we argued, we complained. Rest In Peace Rocky, my friend
