Rosanne Mary Barrasso, a lifetime resident of Memphis, Tennessee, died unexpectedly on September 21, 2020. Rosanne will be missed by all those who knew her. Rosanne attended Little Flower Catholic School and Little Flower Catholic Church and she was a graduate of Immaculate Conception High School. Rosanne worked at Poplar Tunes in the heydays of the ‘60s and early ‘70s, where her stories are still being told by those who worked with her. Later in life, she worked as a sales person, sales manager and fragrance representative at Dillard’s Department Store.
Rosanne had a heart of gold and everyone adored her sweet, witty and genuine spirit. Her stories were legendary and always left people laughing. Rosanne had a gift for brightening the day and leaving those with whom she came in contact in better spirits. Like her brother, Ernie, Rosanne was generous and was known for helping people with her kind and giving spirit. Rosanne never met a stranger and her friendly personality made everyone she met feel special.
Rosanne is predeceased by her parents, Fred and Christine (“Tina”) Barrasso and her brother, Ernest J. (“Ernie”) Barrasso. Rosanne has one surviving brother, Tony Barrasso, a local musician.
Rosanne leaves behind her former husband of 27 years, Nicholas Luciano, and their dogs, Puff Daddy, Boomer and Mollie.
Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Avenue, is in charge of the service. Visitation will be held on October 16 at 1 PM and the service will follow at 2 PM. Rosanne’s ashes will be placed in the mausoleum at Calvary Cemetery with her beloved brother, Ernie.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent in memory of Rosanne to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital or another organization of your choice.
