Rose Mary Garrone Woodard, 88, of Cordova, passed away on Friday, June 24, 2016. She was a lifelong Memphian, of the Catholic Faith and was retired from Sears after 40 years of service as a comptroller. Mrs. Woodard, the widow of Lyman W. Woodard, Sr. is survived by a daughter, Roseann Phillips and her husband, Drew of Memphis; a son, Lyman W. (Woody) Woodard and his wife, Patsy; three granddaughters, Shea (Aaron) McCloskey, Natalie (Jesse) Taylor and Brooke (James) Edwards, all of Memphis; and three great grandchildren, Adrian Edwards, Penelope Taylor and Logan McCloskey. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, John and Cesar Garrone. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, June 28, from 5-7 p.m. (Rosary beginning at 6:30 p.m.) at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd. Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 29 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Memphis Memory Gardens.
