

RUBY LEE WALDRON VIA left this life on August 25, 2012. She was born June 11, 1917 to Marvin Lee and Ida Mae Waldron in Bells, TN. She married Duell C. Via in 1934; two daughters Joyce Laquetta Stubblefield and Rebecca Sue Cook were born into this union. They moved to Memphis in 1941. Ruby worked at Goldsmith’s on So. Main for many years in the Credit department. She and her husband moved to Tunica in 1963, where they both worked at The Tunica Manufacturing Company. Ruby worked in the office until her retirement in 1983. She took care of her mother until her mothers death in 1988. Ruby was predeceased by her husband in 1969, her parents, two brothers, Lawrence and Leon Waldron, one sister, Geraldine W. Lawler. She leaves two daughters, one son-in-law, four grandchildren, Debby Stubblefield (Steve) Lewers, Keith (Kim) Stubblefield, Allan (Erica) Stubblefield and Dana (David) Bray, 10 great-grandchildren, 12 great-great-grandchildren, three nieces, and six nephews. “Little Momma” as she was known by most of the grandchildren was loved by all. Ruby had such a loving and kind spirit if you knew her, you loved her. Ruby’s later years were spent in Memphis and Southaven with her daughters; living with Joyce and Charles. Ruby was a member of Audubon Park Baptist Church Visitation will be 1-2 p.m., with funeral services at 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 29. Burial will follow, all at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens on Germantown Rd. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes you to make a donation to the charity of your choice .
