

Ruth Huckaba Deaviser, 86, of Cordova, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2026. She was born on August 25, 1939, in Palestine, Arkansas, to Floyd Thomas Huckaba and Annie Matthews Huckaba.
Ruth was a devoted homemaker whose life centered around caring for and loving her family. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James E. Deaviser, who passed away on February 20, 2025; her parents; and three siblings, Velma Clay, Louvenia Waddill, and Wayne Huckaba.
She is survived by her son, Glenn Deaviser and his wife, Tricia; her daughter, Debbie Martin and her husband, Ronnie; her sisters, Florine Turnage of Southaven, Mississippi, and Wanda Fisher of Fayetteville, Arkansas; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends who loved her dearly.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 25, 2026, from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 North Germantown Parkway in Bartlett. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m.
August 25 would have been Ruth’s 87th birthday. On that special day, her family will gather not only to mourn her passing but also to celebrate the life she lived, the family she loved, and the memories she leaves behind.
