Ruth Lee LuBrent of Horn Lake, MS, passed to be with our Lord on September 1, 2019 at the age of 77. Ms. Ruth was born on November 24, 1941 in Mississippi. She was preceded in death by her parents; Lafate and Lavada Mann Turner as well as her adoptive parents; Guy and Alta Mar Biggers. Ruth married Jack LuBrent in 1961 and moved from Mississippi to New Jersey where she resided for many years.
Ruth is survived by her children; Mark Thomas LuBrent (Wendi) of Lindenwold, NJ, and Brenda M. LuBrent Clay of Lake Cormorant, MS. Her daughter, Joan L. LuBrent Farr, preceded her in death.
In addition to her children, Ms. Ruth is survived by her six grandchildren; Rebecca LuBrent Kaay (Kris), Stacy Lynn LuBrent, Jackie Farr, Michael Farr, Danielle Miller (Steve), and Zach Adam Lay (Ashley), and four great-grandchildren; Colin Miller, Aubrey Miller, Layla Miller, and Zoey Clay.
Ruth also leaves her sisters; Bess Turner Daniels of Spiro, OK, and Judy Turner McIntyre (Bill) of Henderson, TN, one brother; Tommy Turner Henley (Sandy) of Highlands, TX, and a host of nephews, nieces, and other family.
Ms. LuBrent was a Greenville, MS, high school graduate, where she won a band medal for playing the cornet in the Greenville marching band. In addition to graduating high school, Ms. Ruth completed her cosmetology certifications in the states of Missouri and Illinois in 1981. She was also an entrepreneur owning her own home cleaning service from 1986 until her retirement in 2007.
