Dixie and Sam,
Our prayers for comfort in this difficult time continue.  Samantha was a special young lady in our hearts.  She has touched and influenced the lives of so many in such positive ways.  Samantha has her wings sooner than anyone would have imagined, but God has his plan.  Rest In Peace seeet Samantha.

Dear Sam and Dixie, 
     As we watched the photo memorial thru our tears, we felt like we had an opportunity to get to know Samantha even though we never met her in person.
     We know how very special she was to you and your family.  Her bigger than life smile radiated through thru each photo.  You could tell she loved her students and the students loved her.  She was fun-loving -- especially, dressed in her many costumes.  This is the kind of teacher all children should have.
     We especially loved the photos when she was just a little girl wearing frilly dresses.  You could tell how much she really loved her brother, too.  Her sweetness and kindness will always be remembered.
     May God continue to bless you and guide you.  Your friendship means the world to us.

We met Samantha through our son and daughter-in -law.  During Thanksgiving holidays when we visited our son and family in TN, Samantha was invited to join us.  We found her to be a very competitive and fun -loving UNO player.  She stepped in to help care for our granddaughters when another caring adult was needed, making us very grateful.  Samantha touched the hearts of many and she was taken much too soon.  You have our deepest sympathy.

Samantha was the sweetest most humble person. I got to know her through BCEA which she was a huge advocate for fellow teachers. She loved her students and her fellow teachers. Her smile and knowledge for teacher was infectious! I honestly can say I am a better person have had known Samantha. I was looking forward to working with her in BCEA again this next school year but God in all his infinite wisdom  had a plan.  This next year She will be cheering us on from heaven asking the Father to give us more grace and wisdom. 
Rest In Peace Sam.  I will miss you!💗

The Walsh Family sends love to you all. Watching Samantha grow up, then take care of our children,  brings great memories.  Choosing to teach was a perfect move for her.  She will be remembered for her  Loving care of others.

Samantha was so kind to me when I did a job share at Community for four years. We had a running battle over Alabama and Tennessee alliances though. Samantha did let me buy her a Lady Vols Pat Summitt shirt with the words “Left Foot, Right Foot, Breathe.” My prayers go out to Samantha’s family and friends during this time. Rest In Peace Samantha and even though I hate to say it”Roll Tide.”

Sam had an infectious laugh and a smile for everyone she met.  Praying for the Cochran family. May God bring you peace and comfort during this time of sorrow. 

The last 10 years or so have been blasted with memories of Sam.  Not only did she teach 5 of my kids in school, she was a great friend of mine! 
If any of my kids didn’t want to attend a field trip, she would always figure out a way to get them to go.   No matter what grade my kids were in, she was always there for our babies at school, I always referred to her as their “other momma” 
Truly an amazing lady that will forever be missed!   Rest In Peace Sam, know that you are loved and you are missed!!

Even though I never got the chance to have her as a teacher she was always so sweet and was an amazing teacher she will forever be loved and missed.

Samantha was truly a selfless person! We shared many adventures together and she will be sorely missed!

Samantha (AKA Crack Lady) was my nickname for her because she love Diet Dr Pepper and she called it her crack. I sub. for her several times when I was a sub. teacher and for a while I was her teachers assistant. We had many laughs and a few cries together, she got me hooked  on 31 bags & yellow box flip flops :) .She love to talk about her Granny Noot, her family teaching her to quilt and the love and respect she had for her parents. 
  I wont choose to remember her as sad shes gone, I will choose to remember the talks, laughs, and all the good times and memories we shared. 
 My heart and prayers do go out to the friends and family she left behind. Samantha will be missed by all.


Samantha was a beautiful soul, a loving friend and compassionate lady. I mourn for her and pray for her family.   Rest in peace Sam.  No more pain.  

Sam was my friend and also taught my 2 grandsons. When my 1st grandson received his new last name, Sam acknowledge the occasion with a gift to him. That spoke volumes about the kindness of heart. She was also my football foe. She was all about Bama and me a UT fan.  I  We both enjoyed the rivalry.
This one is for you Sam “Roll Tide”.

Ms. Cochran was my daughter's teacher this year- we last saw her just a couple of weeks ago- she was looking forward to her summer time and asked that we stop by to see her next year.  She did a great job of communicating with us regarding our daughter's progress and had a genuine care for how she was doing.  Our family will miss her greatly, however, she has left a lasting legacy in all of the children she helped to shape over the years.  Our deepest sympathies to the family during this most difficult time.
