Sandra Mae Kirk

Born on March 6, 1948, in Memphis, TN, Sandra was a woman whose kindness, warmth, and compassion touched the lives of everyone who knew her. She had a gentle spirit, a loving heart, and a remarkable ability to make others feel welcome and cared for. Her greatest joy was her family, and she devoted her life to loving and supporting them.

Sandra is preceded in death by her husband, Dwight L. Kirk; her daughter, Tammy R. Sims; her parents, Tollie T. and Jacqueline Marie Nelson; and her siblings, Tollie T. Nelson Jr & Kathryn L. Nelson.

She is survived by her daughters, Lisa D. Cox of Brighton, TN and Patty D. White of Atoka, TN; her 5 grandchildren, Stephen Lambert (Nicole), Chase White (Barbara), Casandra Cox, Maddy Cox (Hannah), and Lindsay Wallace (Tennie). She was also a proud great-grandmother of 7 great grandchildren: Ryker, Paten, Caroline, Knox, Hunter, Jason and Beau—each of whom brought tremendous joy to her life. Sandra also leaves behind her faithful companion, Sammie, who held a special place in her heart.

A devoted member of St. William Catholic Church and the Women’s Club in Millington, Tennessee, Sandra lived her faith through service, friendship, and compassion for others. She also dedicated many years of her career to Sears & Roebuck Co. where she was known for her warm personality and strong work ethic. A breast cancer survivor, Sandra faced life’s challenges with courage, grace, and unwavering faith. Whether through her church, her work, or her community, she had a gift for making people feel welcomed, valued, and loved.

Sandra’s legacy will live on through the countless lives she touched with her kindness, her strength, and her love. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who were blessed to know her.

A Visitation will be held at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133, US, on July 9, 2026, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am, followed by a Celebration Of Life Service at the same location on July 9, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.

A Committal Service will take place at Memory Hill Gardens, 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133, US, on July 9, 2026, from 11:00 am to 11:30 am.
