Sara Jane Houston

Sara Jane Houston passed away November 11,2023 at the age of 81. She will be remembered by her loved ones as a compassionate woman whose love and patience never failed to touch the lives of those around her. She was a firm believer in the strength of familial bonds. She helped raise multiple generations of children. Sara was always willing to help with homework or lend an ear to those in need. (Though they might not like what she had to say about the situation) and was known to have an open door for all those that she cared about. She was a member of New Life Baptist Church and church treasurer. She retired from IRS after 32 years of service.

She was preceded in death by her husband Bobby Houston of 61 years, mother, Sara Cotner, siblings, Ralph Cotner and Sue Rockholt, and great niece, Christina Kirkland.

She is survived by her father, Ralph Cotner, stepmother, Effie Cotner,children Ginger Clark{Leslie White) and Allen Houston, grandchildren, Eric Clark(Karla), Bobby Houston, Kristin Clark, Courtney Tate(Will) and great grandchildren, William Armour, Carson Clark,Abby Thompson, Brandon Armour, James Keating, Zoey Tate, Daniel Clark, and Olivia Thompson. She also leaves behind Paige Kirkland(niece), Nick Kirkland(great nephew), Sara Faulks(great niece), Kenny Clark(ex son in law) and many more family members and friends that were greatly impacted by her life and love for them.
