The funeral service is September 17, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Memphis Funeral Home in Bartlett, Tennessee.
Sharon is survived by three boys, Rod Edwards, Bill Edwards, and Tony Edwards; seven grandchildren, Rechelle, Kristi, Katie, Billy, David, Tabitha, and Rebekah; and two great grandchildren, Malachi, and Trinity.
Sharon was an incredible individual. She was strong and independent. She was firm, but fair. She was loved by so many. She was a dedicated employee of People’s National Bank/US Bank for over 25 years.
Even though she worked, she always had time for her children. She never missed a game or an event. Work never came first, family did. She showered us with her love.
Mom was an avid Seattle Mariners and Seahawks fan. Even in the hospital, she wanted us to find the games on TV. Mom loved to bowl, and when Dad passed away last year her bowling friends wrapped their arms around her. She was so very thankful for them.
When Mom checked into the hospital, she told us, “Don’t you dare come in here all boohooing. I’m going to beat this.” She may have passed away, but in our eyes, she beat cancer. She never gave up, right to the end. We were honored by the strength in her passing. Death had no sting.
We miss you Mom! Say “Hi” to Dad and have him sing you a sweet song.
