On August 9, 2026, Sharon Louise Braden Montague took her last breath on this earth and immediately her next breath in heaven. She was welcomed into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, where she will spend eternity. Sharon was 69 years old, she lived a beautiful life and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially grandchildren and her yorkies, Braden, Bentley, and Lexie. She also loved gardening, flowers, fashion, and antiquing. Sharon found beauty in all of God’s creation specifically, nature such as birds, butterflies, baby rabbits in the yard, the deer roaming in the fields of the cemetery when visiting her son, Garret.
Above all, Sharon’s greatest joy was serving her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Her faith was the foundation of her life and guided the way she loved others. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother and grandmother, a cherished daughter and sister, and a loyal friend. Sharon possessed a heart of gold, a gentle spirit, and a kindness that made everyone feel welcomed and loved. She never met a stranger, and those fortunate enough to know her were touched by her compassion, warmth, and genuine care for others. Her beautiful smile, quiet strength, and unwavering faith will be remembered always.
Sharon was preceded in death by her father, Sanford Braden, and her beloved son, Garret Pilant. Though her earthly journey has ended, her legacy of unwavering faith, unconditional love, and extraordinary kindness will continue to live on through the family she cherished and the countless lives she touched. She is survived by her devoted husband, Gary Royce Montague; her daughters, Amber Pilant Franklin (Chris) and Gina Montague Barnes (Matthew); her mother Janie Leggett Braden; her sister Lisa Braden Fletcher (Garry); and the greatest treasures of her life, her six grandchildren: Addison, Mckenna, Jonathon, Aston, Nolan, and Allie.
To know Sharon was to experience genuine love, steadfast faith, and unwavering kindness. Her memory will forever be a blessing, and her love will continue to live in the hearts of all who were privileged to know her.
Our family would like to acknowledge Dr. Chelsea Olson, her Oncology surgeon and Tiffany Rooks, VP-Regional One. They supported Sharon and our family beyond anything we could think or imagine. They were a gift from God to us.
