Shirley M Branch

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Shirley May Branch, who entered eternal rest on July 18, 2026, at the age of 87, while residing at Ave Maria Nursing Home.

Shirley was born on March 13, 1939, in Baltzer, Mississippi. She was a devoted communicant of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, where she faithfully worshipped for more than 50 years. Her unwavering faith, kindness, and love for her family touched the lives of everyone who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, David K. Branch Sr.; her mother, Lottie May Doss; her siblings, Tommy "Sonny" White, George Doss, James Doss Sr., Brenda Kay Parker, and Ronnie Doss; and her special cousin, Cecil James.

Shirley leaves to cherish her memory her brother, Joseph Doss (Merry); her children, William "Bubba" Hayles McCaleb (Gail), David Keith Branch Jr. (Lisa), and Elizabeth Angela (Angie) Moody (Domino); eight cherished grandchildren; nine treasured great-grandchildren; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss her deeply.

She filled the lives of her family and friends with love, laughter, and unwavering kindness. Shirley was a beautiful soul whose love knew no bounds. She was the sweetest, most selfless, and most loving person, always putting others before herself. She genuinely cared about her family and everyone she met, taking a sincere interest in their lives and making each person feel valued and loved. Her warmth, compassion, and gentle spirit will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Visitation arrangements have been entrusted to Memphis Funeral Home, 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133 (901) 725-0100 Thursday, July 23, 2026, from 5-8 PM.

Funeral Mass at the Catholic Church of the Nativity, 5955 St. Elmo Road, Bartlett TN, Friday July 24 at 10 am. A private graveside burial will follow the Funeral Mass.
