Shirley Hastings, 76, of Memphis, passed away January 31, 2014. Mrs. Hastings, the wife of Harold K. Hastings, was a retired secretary for Hastings Plumbing Company. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Hastings and her son, Larry Hastings (Carol). She also leaves behind a sister, Peggy Craig; 2 grandchildren, Jeremy Adair and Amanda Lavelle; and 2 great-grandchildren, Tyler and Taylor Lavelle. Visitation will be held on Tuesday evening February 4, 2014 from 5-8pm and a Celebration of Life service will be held on Wednesday February 5, 2014 at 10am all at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd. Bartlett. Interment will follow in Memphis Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any memorials be made to the Olive Creek Church of Christ Building Fund at 8313 Hwy. 70, Arlington, TN 38133.
