Stella Hodge Drake

Stella Hodge Drake, 89, of Bartlett passed away on Thursday, July 3, 2014. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Linton Drake. Mrs. Drake is survived by her children, T. Wayne Drake and his wife Jean, and Gloria Drake Burness and her husband Walter, two grandchildren, Jeffery Drake and his wife Tricia and Shelley Taylor and her husband Eric, six great-grandchildren, Gabriel Drake, Noah Drake, Abigail Drake, Evelyn Drake, Tiffany Suratt, and Devon Patterson, siblings, Douglas Hodge, Edythe Leddy and Melver Boone, and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Drake was an active member at Calvary Church of the Nazarene. She was a loving wife, mother and a true prayer warrior. She was loved by many and known for her loving hugs, hospitality, butterflies, quilting and service to God and the church through children’s ministries and missions. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Children’s Ministry at Calvary Church of the Nazarene, 1851 N. Houston Levee Rd., Cordova, TN. 38016. The family will receive friends and relatives on Sunday, July 6th from 2-4 with the funeral starting at 4pm at Calvary Church of the Nazarene. The burial will follow at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd., Bartlett, TN 38133.
