Steve worked at FedEx as an electrician for 36 years earning the title of #1 in seniority for all electricians at FedEx. He was owner of Hopper Electric. He was a wonderful husband, father and "Pops". He was a faithful member and deacon at Bartlett Baptist Church. Making sure his children and grandchildren knew about our Lord and Savior was always a top priority.
He loved cheering on his Tennessee Vols. He was happiest traveling with his family to the beach and Disney World and was always planning the next trip. He loved big, worked hard and loved to laugh. He never took himself too seriously. He will be greatly missed by all who love him!
He was preceded in death by his father, Leon Hopper.
Steve is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Shand Hopper; his daughters, Jennifer Fitzgibbon (John), Jessica May (Mickey); his grandchildren, Ellie Fitzgibbon, Ava Fitzgibbon, Caleb Fitzgibbon, Liam Fitzgibbon; his mother, Virginia Hopper; and his brother, Stan Hopper (Melinda).

Family will receive friends from 12:00pm to 2:00pm on Thursday, July 7th at Bartlett Baptist Church, 3465 Kirby Whitten Pkwy, Bartlett, TN. A service will follow at 2:00pm. Interment will be at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd, Bartlett, TN.
