Syble Bigham Scott, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, drifted peacefully into the arms of Jesus on July 18, 2025, at the age of 94. Born in Friendship, Mississippi (Ecru) to Ottis Sneed Bigham and Johnnie D. Bigham, Syble carried with her a deep love for family, faith, and the simple joys of life.
A proud graduate of Ecru High School, Syble went on to build a long and dedicated career at Kimberly-Clark, retiring after 34 years of hard work and commitment. She was a woman of many talents—an accomplished seamstress whose hands created beauty, and a gifted piano player who filled hearts with music.
Syble had a warm, giving spirit. She was a wonderful cook, a devoted homemaker, and had a deep passion for dancing—a joy that never faded. Some of her happiest moments were spent traveling in the motorhome with her loving husband, Jimmie D. Scott, exploring new places and sharing laughter with dear friends from their motorhome club.
She is survived by her loving children, Charles “Chuck” Smith and his wife Kathy, and daughter Charlotte Smith. She leaves behind her cherished grandson Brandon Croft, his wife Meredith, and two treasured great-grandsons, Levi and August Croft. She is preceded in death by her devoted husband, Jimmie D. Scott.
Syble's life will be honored in a service led by Pastor Rick Panis of Trafalgar Village Baptist Church. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her—through the stories, the smiles, and the love she gave so freely.
