She is survived by her only son, Andrew Lee Mills Sr., and his wife Janes, her grandson Andrew Lee Mills Jr. and his wife Molly, her granddaughter Jenny Clain Davis and her husband Andrew and three wonderful great grandchildren; Andrew Lee Mills III, Julie Rey, and Kacie Clain Mill.
Thelma Lee was a graduate of Union University with a bachelor’s degree in education. She continued her education earning a master’s in both History and English. Thelma retired from the Memphis City School System after teaching for 36 years. She was an accomplished musician that played the piano and organ in every church she attended, and also taught piano in her home throughout her lifetime.
