

Thomas was a lifelong resident of Memphis, Tennessee. He attended Sacred Heart Grade School and was a graduate of Christian Brothers High School. He also attended St. Bernard Seminary in Cullman, Alabama; St. Mary’s Seminary and University; in Baltimore, Maryland.
Tom was employed by the State of Tennessee as a probation officer for twenty years and retired from state service in 1991. That same year, he established Probation Services, Inc., where he continued to serve the probation industry until his full retirement.
In addition, Tom enjoyed employment as a part-time corporate pilot and piloted recreational flights whenever possible. He was an avid sports fan, both as a spectator and a participant. He loved golfing and found great joy in competitive racquetball games with friends and family. Tom was a loyal fan of Notre Dame football and St. Louis Cardinals baseball and rarely missed an opportunity to watch his teams play.
Tom was preceded in death by his daughter, Angie Gagliano. He leaves behind his wife, Theresa Pirani Gagliano; his daughters, Nicole (Seth) of Niceville, Florida; Ann Taylor of Jacksonville, Florida; Tina Blankenship (Clete) of Decatur, Alabama; and his son, Michael Taylor, Jr. (Lane) of Houston, TX. He is also survived by four grandchildren: Christian, Jaren, and Jude McKee of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, and Wyatt Taylor.
Tom Gagliano was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Cordova, Tennessee.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 5, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Memphis Funeral Home, 3700 N. Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, Tennessee.
A Rosary will be held on Friday, February 6, at 9:30 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church with Mass following at 10:00 a.m and Reception after Mass. 8151 Chimneyrock Boulevard, Cordova, Tennessee. Burial will take place on a later date.
