

Thomas H. Leatherwood, 78, of Oakland TN., passed away on Monday, November 12, 2012. He was preceded in death by his brother, Pete Leatherwood and parents, James Leather wood and Ethel Maclin Parrott. Mr. Leatherwood is survived by, his loving wife of 56 years, Charlotte Leatherwood, his two daughters, Pam Jones of Atoka TN., and Sandra Peterson of Cordova TN., granddaughters, Jacquelyn Smoley of Brighton, TN., and Shirley Dorsey of Marion AR., and great-grandchildren, Kyle Smoley of Brighton, TN., and Brayden Dorsey of Marion AR. Mr. Leatherwood was a retired Army Veteran who served in both the Vietnam and Korean War. In the Army he was a Sr. Drill Instructor, Sharpshooter, and Jungle Survival Expert. He was also retired Civil Service. Mr. Leatherwood was a member at the Collierville U.P.C. His family will miss him dearly in his absence. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 15 from 5-8pm at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd. The funeral will be on Friday at 2pm also at the funeral home.
