Timothy Broughton, 58, of Lakeland, passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2015. Mr. Broughton, married 35 years to Denise Broughton, also leaves a son, Michael Broughton of Charlotte, NC, and a daughter, Kimberly Broughton Rothery, married to Andy Rothery of Birmingham, AL, and a granddaughter, Abigail Jane Rothery. He was a parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church and was employed with Dupont/Solae for almost 30 years. He was an officer of the Garner Lake Association, volunteered with Advance Memphis, and tutored at Dexter Elementary School. The family will receive guests this evening, Friday, January 9 from 5-7 p.m. at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Road. A funeral mass will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Saturday, January 10 with interment to follow in Memorial Gardens. Memorial Gifts may be made to Advance Memphis.
