Tony Gary Gallo, 75, of Millington Tennessee passed away on Sunday February 6, 2022 after a brief illness. He was born on January 23, 1947. Tony retired from the City of Memphis Fire Dept after 22 years. He is survived by his wife Sandy Gallo of 58 years of Millington, TN; his son Gary (Jenniffer) of Millington, TN; his daughter Tonya Daniel (Bubba) of Millington, TN; three granddaughters Amber Schmidt (Taylor) of Pittsburgh, PA and Abbie & Kloe Gallo of Millington, TN. He was proceeded in death by his parents Arthur & Mabel Gallo & his two sisters Rina Lucas & Cindy Walker.
Tony loved to hunt, fish and take the occasional trip to the casino. After his retirement from the fire department, Tony became somewhat of an entrepreneur. He always found a way to make money and provide for his family from breeding and raising greyhounds to buying & selling antiques at auctions & online and eventually finding a love for selling, trading, and collecting Turkey calls. He never missed watching Memphis Tigers football & basketball games.
A gathering of family and friends will be Sunday, February 13, 2022 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM, 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133. Followed by a Celebration of Life Service Sunday, February 13, 2022 at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133. Graveside service will be following the Celebration of Life Service at Memphis Memorial Gardens, 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133.
