William Gary Ball

Gary Ball, 84, of Arlington, TN, born to Wm Guy and Hester Ball. Graduate of South Side H.S. '55, U.S. Army Veteran 1955-59; Memphis State B.A. '74, Juris Doctorate '81; Memphis Police Dep't 1959-84; criminal defense attorney 1984-2012. Member of Memphis Police Association, TN Bar Association, and past president of the Lakeland Lions Club.

Gary enjoyed music, movies, travel and sports. He was fun-loving,witty and adventurous. Family and friends will miss him and his infectious humor at every occasion.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 60 years, Faye; daughter, Sabrina (Lisa); sons, Christopher (Michelle), Bradley (Lori); grandchildren, Nick, Carlye (Colby), Laura, Brennan (John), Christian, Garrett, Oliver; great-grandsons, Riley and Miles; in-law, Bob Lemke; and many beloved nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by siblings, Guy Ball, Joyce Morris, Nila Whittaker, Neva Lemke, and Wanda Williams.

The family will receive friends beginning at 1 pm followed by a memorial service at 2 pm on, Saturday May 22, 2021, at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Parkway Bartlett, TN 38133.
