William Franklin “Bill” Scott, 73, of Collierville, TN went to be with his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, July 16, 2019. From an early age and all through his life, he was known as the life of the party, someone who could light up a room and bring a smile to the face of everyone there. He was a retired Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Wright Medical. He also held various leadership positions in sales and marketing from 1964-2009 at Richards Medical, Smith & Nephew, Xomed, Medtronic and Interpore.
Bill was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Sarah Scott; his brother, Thomas Lynn Scott and survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Nancy “Sunshine” Scott; children, Kelli Scott Wells (Randle) of Augusta, GA, Paul Brian Scott (Jocelyn) of Germantown, TN, Julie Scott Sharp (Ray III) of Memphis; sister, Jacqueline Dena Anderson (Eric) of Pueblo, CO; grandchildren, Scotti, Jack, Eleanor, Madelyn, Carson, Roland and Ray IV; a host of sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, nieces and nephews. He was lovingly known by his adoring grandchildren as “Grumps”.
He was a long time member of Kirby Woods Baptist Church and most recently, joined Germantown Baptist Church, demonstrating his unending love for his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Bill loved supporting local missions, ministries and the Grizzlies basketball team whenever he could over the years.
The family will receive friends and loved ones from 12:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Road, Bartlett, TN with a catered gathering to follow in the reception room.
