Bill was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church in Bartlett. TN
He was a veteran serving his country in the United States Air Force during the Berlin Airlift.
Bill was employed with TVA at both Memphis, TN and Powderly, Kentucky steam plants for 20 years. He then worked for Associated Electric Co-op Corporation at New Madrid, MO for 11 years, the last four years as Plant Manager. He transferred to the home office in Springfield, MO in 1983. Upon his retirement in 1992, he and his wife, Marge moved back to Memphis.
During his retirement years, he and Marge spent their time in their motor home enjoying extensive travel.
He is survived by his wife Marjorie H. Lawler of 62 years. Bill also leaves 3 sons, Michael D. Lawler (wife Pamela) of Charlotte, NC, Patrick W. Lawler (wife Jan) of Memphis, TN, Gregory L. Lawler (wife Vicki) of Rogers, AR, 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to be made in his name to Youth Villages.
A funeral mass will be 12 p.m. Thursday, May 16, at St. Ann Catholic Church in Bartlett. The family will receive friends from 10:30 – 12:00 at the church.
