Bill was one of five children born to the late William Riley & Edith Lundy, Sr. He graduated from Kingsbury High School in 1968. He went to trade school for a short time and then spent working career in the printing industry. After printing he worked for the Shelby County Corrections Department where he finally retired in his early '60s.
Bill was a member of Faith Baptist Church for about 19 years where he developed some very close relationships. He was an avid UT Fan, golfing and fishing and at one time was in three different bowling leagues. In the past years his passion had turned to his family, especially his five grandchildren.
Along with his parents Mr. Lundy was also preceded in death by two of his sisters, Mary Wiley and Pam McDaniel.
Mr. Lundy is survived by his wife of 51 years Carmen Lundy; daughters Christina (Tim) Booker of Oakland, Tennessee and Julie (Chris) Burns of Lakeland, Tennessee; two sisters Rebecca (Tim) Boyd and Amanda Lanier; two half sisters Alice Huey and Martha Jane Mayfield; grandchildren Preston and Brynlee Booker and Peyton, Colbie and Chandler Burns, and other distant family and friends.
Family and friends will gather on Friday, February 20 from nine o'clock in the morning until funeral services begin at ten o'clock all at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Road, Bartlett, Tennessee 38133. Burial will follow in Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
