William Chester Phebus

William Phebus, 78, passed away Tuesday, Jan 29, 2019. He was a Navy veteran who served on the USS Hornet and owner of Phebus Paint Company, one of the largest paint companies in the Mid-South for over 40 years.

He was a lover of animals, football and sushi (Sekisui). He was the most loyal person, with a huge heart, who helped many people over the years.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Max Phebus and Mary Gann and his brother, Bobby Phebus, and survived by: his brothers, Edwin Phebus, David Gann (Janice), and Raymond Gann; his loving wife of 40 years, Sharon; his four children: Tara Nichols, Vincent Phebus, Shane Phebus (Christine), and Sunshine Whiting (Dan); eight grandchildren, Taneal Nichols, Brian Phebus, Samantha Phebus, Matthew Phebus, Amelia Whiting, Wyatt Whiting, Caroline Whiting, and Eleanor Whiting; and one great-granddaughter, Oaklee Phebus.
