William Edward Thompson

William’s time started on May 16, 1948 in Fredonia, New York. His parents Edward Vincent and Mary Agnes Thompson raised William in Fredonia After graduating High School he served in the United States Marine Corps, while serving he met Mary Lou Hooks in October of 1967. William married his sweetheart on March 2, 1968. This marriage was blessed with a daughter Stacy. William worked as a Pharmaceutical Sales Rep which afforded him the opportunity to meet and befriend many people some of which are here today. Stacy married Dwight James on June 21, 1997 and blessed her parents with two beautiful grandchildren, Ninah and Quint. He enjoyed music and football and of course his Memphis State Basketball. His good sense of humor came in handy when he had to endure a Memphis State loss. But most of all William loved his family, his loving and devoted wife Mary Lou, his beautiful daughter, Stacy and her husband Dwight, his precious grandchildren Ninah and Quint and of course let’s not forget Charlie his poodle and Hot Rod his cat. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at 2 PM in the chapel of memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 north Germantown Road, Bartlett, TN 38133.
