Allan lived in Central Texas for his entire life. He was born in Bartlett, Texas, in 1945 to Raymond and Leona Persky, where he grew up on the family farm, producing livestock and growing grain and cotton. Allan attended Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas, where he graduated with a BBA degree in accounting in 1967. He spent many years farming and ranching in Bartlett, Texas, with his brother, Wayne Persky; they received the Region 5 Resident Conservation Award during this time for land management conservation efforts. In 2005 he transitioned to a career as a licensed real estate agent.
Allan married the love of his life, Dorothy, in 1971 and raised three amazing daughters, and also enjoyed spending time with his six grandsons and two sons-in-law. Spending time with his family was the most important and rewarding part of his life.
Allan Persky was preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Leona Persky, and is survived by his wife Dorothy Persky, daughter Amanda Craig and son-in-law Brad Craig, daughter Vicki Persky, daughter Lacey Henry and son-in-law Brad Henry, and grandsons Luke, Eli, Jared, Isaac, Andrew, and Noah Henry.
Surviving siblings include Wayne Persky, Imogene (Persky) Morris, Linda (Persky) Chaffin and brother-in-law John Bob Chaffin, Ronnie Persky and sister-in-law Nelwyn Persky, and James Persky.
Visitation will be held at Goodnight Funeral Home in Bartlett on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at St. John Lutheran Church in Bartlett, Texas, on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. with graveside service to follow.
