Judy Ellen Shiplett

Judy Ellen Shiplett, age 54, of Bartlett passed away Thursday March 31, 2016. Judy was the youngest of four girls, and with her wonderful sense of humor she was always the center of attention. She attended Bartlett school where she played basketball, ran track, and played clarinet in the band. After she graduated Bartlett High School, She attended Temple Jr. College and the University of Mary Hardin Baylor. There she earned a degree in Business. Judy was very active in her church, The First Baptist Church of Bartlett. She was a Sunday School Teacher, acted as a sponsor to many children during Church Camp, and was the church clerk for several years. Judy loved her family. She was a favorite aunt to all her nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews, and was a second mother to Allison and Katlyn.

Judy is survived by her parents, Everett Francis and Ila Dean Shiplett; her sisters, Brenda Joyce and husband Roy Courtney, Frances Louise and husband Randy Lawton, and Vicki Dean and husband Ricky Malone; and her numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and friends.

A visitation will be held on Friday April 1, 2016 from 6pm-8pm at Goodnight Funeral Home in Bartlett, TX. Funeral services will be held on Saturday April 2, 2016 at 2pm at Goodnight Funeral Home in Bartlett. Burial will follow at Bartlett City Cemetery.
