November 30, 1950 – March 19, 2013
Michael Davis, 62, of Cat Spring, TX, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on March 19th 2013 in Katy, TX. Mike was born on November 30th 1950 to Harold and Juanice Davis in Houston, TX. Mike married Mary Coker in Pasadena, TX on April 7th, 1972.
Mike will forever be remembered for the love he had for his family. He loved spending time with them above all else, and was a devoted father and husband. His friends will remember his love of hunting, and his love of travelling. He had great pride in his lifetime membership with the NRA. He loved the Lord and spent many hours volunteering and working to better his community. He loved his music (and knew all the songs by heart) and loved his trivia. Mike gave with all his heart, and will forever be missed by all who were blessed to know him.
Mike is preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Juanice Davis; and a sister, Mary Louise Strickland.
Mike is survived by his loving and devoted wife of more than 40 years, Mary Davis; his beloved daughter, Leah Davis (both of Cat Spring, TX); his sister Paula Rodgers (husband Rick) of Elgin, TX; his brother Albert Taylor (wife Carolyn) of Pearland, TX; his nieces Tavia Highfield, Andrea Farr, Roxanne Coker, Lisa Taylor; and his nephews Scott Taylor and Tracy Taylor; as well as numerous great nieces and nephews as well as friends and family.
Michael’s family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff of Memorial Hermann Hospital of Katy, TX; and a sincere thank you to all for the many prayers that were offered on Mike’s behalf.
