

Phillip was born in Houston, Texas on December 19, 1935 to Carl and Mary Margaret Maiorka.
Phillip served in the United States Army from Nov. 1958 through Aug. 1964, serving during both the Korean War and the Cuban Crisis.
On May 16, 1961 he married his wonderful wife Glenda Ernestine “Ernie” Winfrey.
Phillip spent many years in the grocery retail business, working his way through the ranks until his retirement from Safeway in 1992.
After retirement Phillip enjoyed his many hobbies such as fishing, card, bingo, sunsets on the porch and long drives through the country.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Mary Margaret Maiorka; and a grandson Austin Scott Maiorka.
He is survived by his beloved wife Glenda Ernestine Maiorka, son Phillip Scott Maiorka (Michelle), daughter Terry Lee Schurr, grandchildren; Brendan Baggerly, Brody Baggerly, Colton Maiorka, Lindsey Maiorka, Caison Schurr, Heather Ledford, RJ Ledford and great-grandchild Caiden Cabiad; a sister, Sadie Dennard; a brother Joseph Maiorka; and a sister Mary Styles.
Pallbearers were: Brendan Baggerly, Brody Baggerly, Caison Schurr, RJ Ledford, Colton Mairoka and Davey Street. Honorary pallbearers were: Heather Ledford, Lindsey Maiorka and Michael Street.
Visitation will be Friday, February 3rd, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Goodnight Funeral Home.
Services will be Saturday, February 4th, 2012 at 2:30 PM at Goodnight Funeral Home.
Burial to follow at Davilla Community Cemetery.
