

Silvester M. Luna, Sr. 55, of Bartlett passed away on Monday, February 7, 2011 in Fort Hood, Texas. Silvester was born on November 26, 1955 in Granger, Texas to Ursula Martinez and Harold Luna. He spent his early childhood in Granger and then moved to Bartlett where he has resided until his death.
Silvester was a man who enjoyed life and loved his family and friends. He enjoyed camping and took great pleasure in leading his family in Bible studies. His children and wife, Janie were very important to him and he to them. Silvester, also took pride in his work as dry wall installer.
Silvester is survived by wife, Janie Luna of Bartlett; daughters, Juanita Glover and husband Bryan of Bartlett, Amanda Flores and husband, Eduardo of Bartlett; sons, Silvester M. Luna, Jr. and wife, Chanda of Bartlett, Renae Luna and wife, Raquel of Bartlett, and seven grandchildren.
Sister, Mary Cortez and husband, Romeo of Holland, Susie Angel and husband, Manuel of Bartlett, Annette Williams and husband, Robert of Bartlett and Nora Capetillo and husband, Robert of Bartlett; brothers, Harold Luna and wife, Isabel of Austin, Paul Luna, Sr. and wife, Cornelia of Taylor and John Luna and wife, Lisa of Bartlett.
Pall Bearers will be Eric Woods, Paul Luna, Jr., Jerry Lee Belcher, Jr., Anthony-Robert Capetillo, Robert Williams, Joshua Luna and Matthew Luna.
Visitation will be Thursday, February 10, 2011, 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. with a Rosary beginning at 7:30 p.m. at Goodnight Funeral Home, Bartlett, Texas.
Funeral services will be on Friday, February 11, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. at SS Cyril & Methodius Church in Granger and burial will follow at the Holy Cross Cemetery.
