Ann Clingingsmith

She was born February 16, 1930 at Pottstown, IL to Henry and Pauline (Marek) Trenchant. She married Arthur L. Cliningsmith on July 8, 1950 in Peoria. He preceded her in death December 8, 1994.

She is survived by her children, Virginia (Brian) Emerick of Brimfield, IL and Chris (Lorie) Clingingsmith of Des Plaines, IL; 6 grandchildren, Kevin, Carmen, Josh, Michael, Kayla and Shaun and 6 great grandchildren.

Ann was a farm wife. She worked alongside her husband on their farm near Hanna City until they retired in 1990.

She was a faithful member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Bartonville, where she sang in the choir for many years.

She is remembered as a lover of animals, music and especially her flower garden.

Ann’s funeral mass will be at 10:30 Friday, December 5, 2014 at St Anthony Catholic Church in Bartonville. Father David Heinz will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Peoria. Visitation will be prior to the mass beginning at 9:00 am at the church.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or American Cancer Society.
