Billie Owens

She was born August 15, 1928 in Marshall, AR to Marvel and Emily (Baker) Williams. She married James Robert Owens on July 25, 1953 in Peoria He passed away on September 30, 1976.

She was also preceded in death by her daughter Sharon, granddaughter Teresa, six brothers, and four sisters.

Surviving is her son Manuel (Janet) Williams of Peoria, three grandchildren Christi, Jennifer, Nichole; five great-grandchildren, Roger, Hope, Ashley, Arron, Jakob; and four great-great-grandchildren, Gavin, Zander, Paige, and Zachary.

She was a member of Landmark Missionary Baptist Church.

Billie was a wonderful homemaker who enjoyed caring for her grandchildren and participating in many family cookouts and gatherings. Friends of the family knew Billie as Grandma, but to her son, she was Mom. Her grandchildren knew her as Grandma, her great-grandchildren knew her as Granny and to her great-great-grandchildren, she was Granny Goose.

Billie was loved dearly by her family and all who knew her. She will be forever missed.

Funeral services will be at 2 P.M., Friday, September 17, 2010 at Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel. Pastor Andy Decker will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the chapel. Burial will be at Lutheran Cemetery immediately following services.
