He was born to Eddie and Joan (Haun) Henry on February 12, 1969, in Danville Illinois. They survive.
Bret married the love of his life, Sherri Wallenfang on July 27, 1991, at Eureka College where they met. She survives.
He is survived by his children, Madison Henry, Abigail Henry; sister Lori (Thomas) Ayala; brother Jeff (Teri) Henry; uncle Larry (Carol) Henry; several cousins, nieces, nephews and his beloved dog Ruby Lou.
Bret graduated from Eureka College with a biology degree and worked as the US Sales Manager for Lorenz Conveying Products for many years. At Eureka College he was part of the Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity and was in the football hall of fame, lettering all four years. Bret loved the outdoors and traveling with his family and friends. He always enjoyed his family trips to Disney World and recently went to Oktober Fest in Munich Germany with one of his best friends Jamie. In the year 2000 Bret went to Kentucky to compete in a Taekwondo tournament and received a first place title. He was a member of the Ghost Riderz which is a group of scooter riders that raise money for local charities.
A visitation will be held 5:00 - 8:00 pm on Tuesday December 11, 2018, at Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 am on Wednesday December 12, 2018, at Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel with a visitation being held an hour prior.
Burial will follow at Smithville Cemetery in Hanna City, Illinois.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family for his children’s college fund.
