Carol R. Brooks

Carol R. Brooks, 54, of Peoria, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at Unity Point\Methodist Hospital in Peoria. She was born on December 31, 1963 in Peoria, Illinois to Benjamin and Lelah Mae (Suter) LeSourd. She married Michael Brooks on April 19, 1985 in Peoria, Illinois. He survives. Also surviving are seven children, Michael (Melissa) Brooks of Bartonville, Matthew, Jeffrey, Jenna, Noah, Devonte and Justin Brooks all of Peoria; one sister, Nita LeSourd of Bartonville; several nephews, great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. Carol enjoyed driving a school bus for the Farmington School District. She was an avid CUBS fan and enjoyed dirt track auto races. She was very involved in foster care. Carol's family has requested that everyone attending her services wear CUB attire. Funeral services will be at 11 am Monday, July 2, 2018 at Laramie Street Baptist Church in Peoria. Rev. Keith Winkler will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to services on Monday at the church. Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery in Peoria.
