Carole L. Alden
March 14, 1935 – April 30, 2012
Carole L. Alden, 77, of Bartonville, Illinois, died Monday, April 30, 2012 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 14, 1935 in Peoria, Illinois. She was the daughter of Harry and Zella (Howell) Steiner. Carole married E. Leon Alden on July 25, 1968 in Peoria, Illinois. He survives, along with four children, Christy (Larry Friend) Roberts of Peoria, Sue (Ron) Armstrong of Bartonville, Scott (Diana) Alden of East Peoria, Billy (Annita) Simpsen of Brereton, Illinois. She has six grandchildren, Ashley Simpsen, Billy Rieck, Nicole Kraus, Shannon, Dion and Sarah Alden. There are two great grandchildren, Brayden Allen Rieck and Dallas Nau. She has one brother, Wayne Steiner of Minnesota. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Ellen and Lois. Carole was a former co-owner of Lewis Cabinet in Peoria, working over 30 years, retiring in 2000. She enjoyed oil painting and fine needle work. She attended First English Lutheran Church in Peoria. Funeral services will be Friday, May 4, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Davison Fulton Bartonville Chapel. The Rev. Dr. James Lillie will officiate. Visitation will be from 5-7 PM Thursday at the funeral chapel. Cremation rites will be accorded following services and her remains will be buried at Lutheran Cemetery at a later date. As GOD Plans the time and place for Everything...SO SAD..not According to our own Schedule..Carole was given such a Good life to be prepared in this Lifetime to go "home" taking that last breath on Earth with her whole loving family...within the grasp of so many memories and so much love.
