Carolyn G. Egan

She was born May 26, 1947 in Anniston, Missouri to Bill and Helen (Kirk) Simmons. She married Grant Egan on October 4, 2003 in Spring Bay. He survives along with five children: Lisa (D.J.) Dykes of Henderson, KY, Angela Miros of Tucson, AZ, Scott Hess of Bartonville, Amanda (Nate) Fawcett of Metamora, and Andrina Egan of Tampa, FL. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren: Britani, Jacobe, Alexandrea, Rylee, Mason, Maddy, David, Devin, Jorian, Bentley, Rylie, nine great-grandchildren, two brothers: Larry Simmons of Banner, Mike (Janet) Simmons of Norwood, and one brother-in-law, David Jowers of Peoria.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and one sister, Barbara Darlene Jowers.

Carolyn was an RN at St Francis Medical Center in Peoria for 49 years.

She loved spending time with family and friends, and helping people. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.Cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Carolyn’s Life will be Saturday, August 1, 2026 at 4 p.m. at the First Norwood Mennonite Church, 6605 W. Jones Rd, Peoria, IL. Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
