

Cheryl was born July 16, 1966 in Peoria to Walter and Barbara (Henry) Durdle. She married Michael Rolen on June 17, 1989. He survives
Also surviving is her mother, Barbara Durdle of Peoria, her two sons, Joshua (Kate) Rolen of Bartonville and Noah (Brey) Rolen of Pekin; one granddaughter, Adelynn Rolen; three brothers, Steven (Debra) Durdle of Grand Blanc, MI, Daniel Durdle of Columbia, MO, and James (Karol) Durdle of White Bear Lake, MN; and her aunt, Carol Hochberg of Sarasota, FL.
Cheryl graduated from Illinois State University with a degree in Elementary Education and was a third grade teacher at Oak Grove School in Bartonville for over 20 years. Cheryl was known for her love of grammar, her students and for her unique and boisterous laugh. She was a member of the Teachers Union and First United Methodist Church in Peoria. Cheryl enjoyed teaching, singing, going to Plays, Musicals and just about any theatrical production. Her love of trivia aided her in her coaching of Scholastic Bowl and organizing the Trivia Fundraiser for the Oak Grove P.T.O. Cheryl loved to spend time with her family and friends but especially with her granddaughter, Adelynn. She took joy in being a grandmother to “her girl.”
A visitation will be on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 from 5 to 7 pm at Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel. Cremation will be accorded following the service.
