Dane Russell Foster

Dane Russell Foster, 41, of Bartonville, IL, passed away on July 26, 2025 at Loyola Medical Center in Maywood, IL. Dane was the son of Russell and Patricia Vermillion Foster. Surviving Dane is his mother, Patti Clark (Sam), Dane’s son, Sawyer Foster (Sawyer’s mother/Dane’s friend, Carissa Clemens); family, Bobbi and Brian Soule, Diana and Terry Young, Chuck and Julie Vermillion, David and Teri Vermillion, Val and Jerry Hornbacker, Jamie Engstrom, Sam and Tracy Clark, and lots and lots of cousins.

Dane was preceded in death by his father, Russell Foster, his sister, Keli Kay Foster, grandparents, John and Esther Foster and Bob and Kay Vermillion.

Dane loved family gatherings, especially centered around Thanksgiving and football. He enjoyed St. Patrick’s Day with Keli and Sawyer, running with his Aunt Bobbi, watching the Cubs and the Bears with his dad, playing corn hole, and darts. His favorite thing in the world was being a dad to Sawyer. His second favorite was being on time and where you said you’d be.

Funeral services will be held for Dane on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at 11am at Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Swan Lake Cemetery. Following the burial, there will be a luncheon to honor Dane at The Limestone American Legion in Bartonville, 4501 S Airport Rd. To celebrate Dane, please wear his favorite sports team (Cubs/Bears) to the service.
