Darlene Ellen Bayne, 79, of Bartonville, Illinois, died Tuesday, September 8, 2026 at her residence. She was born on August 24, 1947 in Peoria, Illinois. She was the daughter of Harold Clement and Millicent Ruth (Heiken) Norman. She married Don R Bayne on February 10, 1968 in Peoria County, Illinois. They were married for 45 years, he preceded her in death on August 9th 2013.
Darlene has two daughters surviving, Heather (Peter) Cenek of Edwards, Illinois and Holly (Josh) Jones of Yorkville, Illinois. She has three grandchildren, Sierra Hope, Nicholas Sterling and Samantha Kristen Cenek. Darlene has two brothers Robert Norman of Bartonville IL and Dennis Norman of San Diego CA.
She is preceded in death by her parents and sister Sheila Blair of Flagstaff AZ, as well as her infant daughter, Stephanie Kristen Bayne.
Darlene taught for over 30 years, retiring from Illini Bluffs High School to travel the country with her husband. She was a member of the Bartonville Lion's Club. Darlene loved her family, Keno, and Edward's Tap cheeseburgers; where she enjoyed many afternoons with her beloved friends.
Visitation will be held at Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel on Monday September 14th at 10:30 AM with service to follow at 12 PM, Graveside service will take place at Swan Lake Memorial Gardens.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Bartonville Lion's Club.
