David Carey “Corky” Snedden, 73, of Peoria, Illinois, passed away Friday, May 18, 2018 at OSF St. Francis Hospital in Peoria surrounded by his loving family. He was born on July 5, 1944 in Canton, Illinois to Walter and Geraldine (Ogden) Snedden. He married Barbara Cowen on December 30, 1963 in Cassopolis, Michigan. She survives.
He is also survived by two sons, Carey (Deana) Snedden of Bloomington, Illinois and Craig (Alisa) Snedden of Bartonville, Illinois; eight grandchildren and one great granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Judy Kemper.
Corky retired from Caterpillar Inc. after 32 years of service. He was a man of extreme faith, kindness and wisdom. Loved his family, hunting, fishing, gardening and woodworking. He built many furniture items for family and friends.

Memorial services will be Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at 11:00 am at the Living Waters Lutheran Church, 7229 N. Knoxville Ave. Peoria. Pastor Mark Schoenhals will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior services on Wednesday at the church. Cremation rites have been accorded and inurnment will be at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Living Waters Lutheran Church.
