

He was born Aug. 31, 1945 in Peoria to Arthur H. and June E. (Burdess) Lindsey, Sr. He first married Diana Grindle, Feb. 6, 1965 in Peoria. He later married Jane Agner Dec. 10, 1993 in Peoria. They survive along with two sons: Dennis Lindsey, Jr. of Bartonville, Tom Lindsey of Mapleton, one daughter, Tami (Jody) Carroll of Bartonville, one step-daughter, Kellie (Joe) Harshbarger of Bartonville, one step-son, Shawn Smith of Denver, CO, ten grandchildren: Seth (Tiffany) Lindsey, Amanda Carroll, Heather Lindsey, Tyler Carroll, Brenna Lindsey, Mason Harshbarger, Kaylee Carroll, Jaden Lindsey, Hannah Harshbarger, and Creelynn Carroll., He is also survived by one great-grandson, Ryker Lindsey and one brother, Arthur H. (Connie) Lindsey, Jr of Dunlap.
Dennis first worked for WABCO, then Dresser, and now it is Komatsu Mining. He worked there for over 40 years retiring in 2006. He was a member of the Bartonville American Legion Post 979, Peoria AMVETS, the Hanna City Sportsman’s Club, and the Farmington Moose. Denny loved fishing, hunting, golfing, boating, gardening, and a good cold beer.
He had a love for life. He loved his family so very much. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Our hearts are breaking.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A celebration of Denny’s life will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday July 18, 2015 at the Bartonville American Legion Post 979. Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to the St. Jude Midwest Affiliate or the Wounded Warriors Program.
