OBITUARY

Diana "Dee" Marie Fouse

March 26, 1955April 24, 2021

Diana Marie “Dee” Fouse, 66, of Peoria, passed away at 1:07 a.m. Saturday, April 24, 2021 peacefully in her home. She was born on March 26, 1955 in Pekin, a daughter of Irvin Wayne and Helen Marie (Rahn) Meyer. She married Grover Fouse on October 2, 1976 in Peoria. He survives.

Dee is also survived by her daughter, Michele (Keenan) Grutter of Edwards; two grandchildren, Payton and Dylen Grutter of Edwards; her mother, Helen Meyer of Bartonville; two brothers, Dan (Dawn) Meyer and Doug (Alisa) Meyer, both of Bartonville; sister, Darla (Don) Rohrer of Pekin; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and godchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Irvin; infant brother, Dennis; and nephew, Joshua DeFoe.

Dee dedicated many years to working with children and retired to spend more time with her grandchildren. Both Payton and Dylen were her world, attending every function and spending every moment she could with them. Her love for them was endless and will continue forever.

Dee was the light in her daughter’s life. There hadn’t been a moment when she wasn’t there by Michele’s side holding her hand.

Dee loved Grover for over 47 years. Through ups and downs, they always stuck together and grossed everyone out with all the kissing.

Dee loved to travel, with Alaska being her favorite place. She also loved Disney World and Sea World. Really, she loved any place she went with her family.

She was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church in Peoria taking her grandkids with her.

Dee’s funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 29, 2021 at Grace Presbyterian Church in Peoria. Pastor Kerry Frantz will officiate. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 28, 2021 also at the church and an additional visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the church. Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel has been entrusted with the care of Dee. Burial will take place in Lutheran Cemetery in Peoria.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to her church.

Aunt Dee was always smiling. She always made you feel at home. She never missed sending me a birthday card and I’m 46 years old.
And she never called me Joseph or Joe, it was always Joey. Thank you Aunt Dee for being such a caring and thoughtful person. I love you!

Precious are the memories you have of your dear daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother. May the words of John 14:27 be with you at this time where Jesus said, "Peace I leave with you, not as the world gives, give I to you. Let not your heart be troubled.....I go to prepare a place for you" Suffering is over for Dee and we can be comforted with these words. She is safe in the arms of her Savior.

So sad to hear this. Dee and I go back to Pleasant Hill parents club. Later we worked many years together at a childcare center. We have gone to a couple concerts together but our best was a trip to Vegas. We always shared great time.
My condolences to her family. May God wrap you all in his arms and give you strength and comfort during this time.
Heaven has received an angel, Rip Dee 🙏🏻
