Donald L. Bradford

Donald L. Bradford, 56, of Peoria, Illinois, died Friday, September 7, 2012 at his residence. He was born on May 27, 1956 in Peoria, Illinois. He was the son of Cecil and Helen (Kennedy) Bradford. He married Sue Cunningham on April 7, 1995 in Bartonville, Illinois. She survives.

He is also survived by one stepson, Nick (Jacki) Penn of Bartonville, one brother, Ed (Justine) Bradford of California, one sister, Charlene Sears of Terre Haute, Indiana. He has 7 grandchilden, Braxton, Cody, Cole, Caitlyn, Chase, Zoey, and Adalyn Penn and he was a special uncle to Jenniffer (Mark) Brashiers and Justin (Jennifer) Sears of Indiana. Donald is survived by one brother in law, Jeff (Joyce) Cunningham of Hanna City, Illinois, two sisters in law, Janice (Jim) Gruber of Bartonville, and Dona Wiebler of Bloomington, Illinois. He is survived by a father and mother in law, Dick and Donna Cunningham of Bartonville and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one stepson, Mike Penn, and a brother in law, Randy Wiebler.

Donald graduated from Limestone Community High School in 1974. He was a Veteran, serving in Korea from 1973 to 1979. Donald was a truck driver for many years at Interstate Brands and last worked at BP Transportation in Peru, Illinois. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local # 688 of Peoria. He was also a member of the Limestone American Legion Post 979 in Bartonville.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at 2:00 PM at the Davison Fulton Bartonville Chapel. The Rev. Jack Thompson will officiate. A visitation will be from Noon till 2:00 PM at the funeral home on Tuesday. Cremation rites will be accorded after services. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
