She was born on Dec. 23, 1936 in Quincy, Illinois to Virgil and Ruby (Foster) Whitney. She married Lewis “Buddy” Snook, Jr on Nov. 8, 1957 in Altus, OK. He survives along with three children: David (Helenmarie) Snook of Metamora, Daniel (Nancy) Snook of Bloomington, Lynn (Andy) Lenz of Geneseo, six grandchildren: Andrea Lenz, Jennifer Snook, Michelle Snook, Katherine Carius, Andrew Lenz, and David L.P. Snook. She is also survived by one great-grandson, Calvin Carius and one brother, Richard (Patty) Whitney of Moweaqua, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Pat Wellman.
Donetta worked at several jobs but her favorite love was being the family matriarch and Softball Scorekeeper. She was a member of the Eastern Star.
Funeral services will be Friday Nov. 24, 2023 at 11 a.m. at the Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services.
Following the services, burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery near Trivoli.
