Dorothy I. Case

Dorothy was born January 6, 1917 in Rocky Ford, CO, the daughter of August and Emma Beyer. She married Richard A. Case on December 31, 1940 He preceded her in death on November 7, 1991.

She is survived by her children, James (Shirley) Case of Peoria, Richard (Janice) Case of Lawrenceville, GA, Betty Raker of Bartonville, Barbara Shelton, of Peoria, Lynn (Ken) Page of Jacksonville, FL; nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mildred Wittwer of Sun Lakes, AZ, Ruth Morford of Reading, CA; one brother Walter (Belva Jean) Beyer of Denver, CO.

Dorothy was also preceded in death by her parents, one brother (Carl), and one sister (Esther).

She was a lifetime member of Kansas State and University of Kansas Alumni organizations.

Dorothy was the office manager and her husband’s right hand at their veterinary hospital. Dorothy and Richard operated Case Veterinary Hospital.

She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church. A memorial service will be held there Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Karl Eckhoff will officiate. Cremation rites have been accorded.

Burial of ashes will take place at a later date.

Memorials may be made to Christ Lutheran School.
